The Screaming O Named XBIZ’s Crossover Company of the Year

LOS ANGELES — Sex toy manufacturing house The Screaming O was named Crossover Company of the Year at the XBIZ Awards.

The Screaming O is one of the few adult toy companies that have made the leap into the mainstream eye, having left a lasting impression on network TV shows, national music and pop culture events, and within various health and lifestyle publications.

The company said this “crossing over” has been a part of the business plan since day one.

“Sex toys and their endless pleasure possibilities certainly are gaining more mainstream acceptance by the day, but landing big-name mainstream media plugs is an accomplishment unique to The Screaming O that we’re especially proud of,” said Keith Caggiano, The Screaming O partner.

“Being recognized by XBIZ and the industry for our hard work blurring the line between adult and mainstream is a true honor, and shows us we’re doing it right. Thank you to all who voted!”

The company’s notable crossovers include guest starring roles on E!’s “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” and “Leave It to Lamas,” as well as FX’s “Sons of Anarchy” and the Oxygen Network’s reality show, “The Bad Girls Club.” Most recently The Screaming O’s portable sex toys were part of a featured segment on CBS’s health and wellness talk show, “The Doctors.”

The Screaming O also was recognized for its crossover outside the traditional product realm, having worked with adult studio DreamZone Entertainment to bring its original Screaming O Vibrating Ring to the big screen in “Sex and the City the XXX Parody: In Search of the Screaming O.”
